1970 Datsun 240z Series 1 #2159
1970 Datsun 240z Series 1. VIN HLS30-02159 (#2159) Build Date 03/70. Odometer reads 84,890 miles. Vehicle was purchased as a non matching or operable car. Title is in hand and clear.
I purchased a crashed 78 280z as a parts car to use the drivetrain as well as other misc parts. The drivetrain is completely a 78 280z(L28, 5-Speed, R200 Differential). The engine is stock for what I know but includes the Canon intake manifold with Weber 45DCOE carbs, header, exhaust. Engine ran when pulled and was able to start and get it to run a year ago off a temporary setup. I also installed the 280z suspension(control arms, sway bars, strut/springs, hubs, brakes).
Exterior 5/10. Typical rust on the body as shown. Fender, quarters, rockers, floors, etc. Small amount on the driver side fender apron as well as the trunk latch. Battery table does not appear to have rust. Glass is all good and crack/chip free. Wheels are basically brand new Konig Rewind with newer tires. All parts including bumpers, grille are included. Additional door and trunk lid are also included.
Interior 4/10. Cracked dash but all gauges are includes. Floor has holes. 280z seats are in fair condition. Missing carpet and some trim panels. Steering wheel is in fair condition.
Drivetrain 8/10. When installed the full drivetrain was running and operational. The vehicle is not operable due to wiring and fuel system not being installed. Brakes/clutch are all newer parts but not hooked up.
Project car that I have owned for nearly 10 years and do not have the time to complete. I run and operate MiataSource(Miata Specialty Business) and that is taking up any free time that I would have for this car. Clean title is in my name and free of liens, salvage or any contingencies.
